James Fossen
James Fossen
As the founder of BigLove: A Celebration of Living for Seniors and their Families, I’m honored to welcome you to our first celebration.
What began as a simple idea has grown into a true passion, and I’m excited to share my vision for what BigLove can become.
I started my professional career over 40 years ago, and with a background in retail, retail and management training, and business ownership, I’m now a Realtor on the Steve Nassar Team at Premiere Property Group, LCC.
Like many of you, I’ve seen tremendous changes in how we live, conduct business, and access information over the past four decades. Yet, despite all that has changed, much remains the same.
It’s still all about people and the relationships we build. This is what inspires me, especially as we age and care for our aging loved ones—our parents, grandparents, siblings, spouses, friends, and neighbors. My hope is that BigLove will provide the necessary tools and tips to help you, and your families navigate the complexities of aging, while also honoring the spirit, dignity, and value that you and your seniors have so rightfully earned.
I hope to meet all of you and hope to hear your stories at the first BigLove Celebration!

Mark Gamba
Mark Gamba
Oregon State Representative, HD 41
Mark Gamba is the former two term Mayor of Milwaukie and currently serves in the Oregon House as the vice chair of Climate, Energy and Environment and serves on Housing and Homelessness and the joint transportation committees.
During his time as mayor, he led many changes to the city’s Comp Plan, zoning code and permitting to spur new infill housing development. Milwaukie is currently experiencing a 20% increase in housing stock, much of which is affordable from 30% to 120% area median income, while increasing the tree canopy and reducing parking requirements.
Another initiative in progress called our SAFE program, should make Milwaukie the most walkable, bikeable and ADA compliant city in the state when completed.
Transportation, housing and climate intersect in many ways and should always be considered together. His work in the legislature is focused on those three topics along with reducing poverty and solving the state’s revenue issues.

Tyler King
Tyler King
Tyler King, a seasoned realtor based in Portland, Oregon, has built a remarkable career through his dedication to clients and a firm belief in the transformative power of real estate. A Portland native, he was exposed to the benefits of property ownership from an early age, with his family’s successful rental properties sparking his interest in the field.
Tyler’s journey took him from the Pacific Northwest to New York City, where he attended Hunter College and kickstarted his career at a commercial real estate appraisal/consulting firm. This rich experience in the Big Apple’s competitive real estate market set the stage for his return to Portland in 2011, where he transitioned his focus to residential real estate.
Tyler works with a diverse clientele, from first-time home buyers to multi-family investors, always placing his clients’ best interests at the forefront. His honest, transparent approach guides his clients through what he acknowledges can be the biggest purchase of their lives. Yet, he also manages to make the process enjoyable and fun, setting clear expectations from the outset and ensuring each step taken is in line with his client’s goals.
Outside of his busy real estate career, Tyler resides in Milwaukie with his wife and their five-year-old daughter. He doesn’t subscribe to a binary view of work-life balance, rather, he embraces each day as an opportunity to meet someone new, learn something new, and try something new a philosophy that bleeds into every aspect of his life and work.
Looking forward, King’s ambitions are tied to his community. Alongside his team – Ahna and Carmel – he is devoted to advocating for homeowners in Portland and the surrounding areas, further cementing his role as a trusted guide in the dynamic world of real estate.
With Tyler King, clients don’t just find a realtor- they find a partner dedicated to their best interests and making the journey of buying or selling property as smooth and rewarding as possible.
